This spring, Seth accepted a job in South Dakota with an August 15th start date. While the house still isn’t finished yet, we have been in South Dakota now for two months and are just starting to settle in. Because of the house and the move, author events for me and marketing in general were pushed a little to the side, but I’m excited to get back on track.
Throughout the summer, though, I’ve been able to work on a very special project. Hartsfield Homestead & Press has contracted a new author, and the first book published from an author other than me is due for a winter 2022-23 publication date!
The proof copy for this poetry chapbook just came in the mail this morning, and getting to hold the first copy left me speechless. Publishing other poets and writers was something that I thought I might be able to build to in the future, the distant future. But I enjoyed the work and the process that it took to get here and I can’t wait to see this book finally in the hands of readers.
